Reviews
The standout part of this place is undoubtedly the freshness of their lobster. The flavor and the portion size left me satisfied. The pricing is also reasonable, considering the quality of the lobster.
However, I must note that the bread used for the lobster roll was a bit on the dry side. While the lobster itself was moist and flavorful, the dryness of the bread made it a bit challenging to swallow comfortably. Also the clam chowder was a bit too thick.
My daughter and I had lunch here on a Friday after work. We sat outside to eat. Inside the restaurant is located down a set of stairs. There is seating inside as well. It is really cute, smaller spot to eat. I got the lobster mac and cheese. The Mac and Cheese part of the dish was bland and the pasta noodle weren't the right type in my opinion but the lobster was good. They do have a Lobster roll Cold or Hot that I might try next time. We also got Clam Chowder and Clam strips that were both great. The waitress was friendly and fast. I would 100% recommend this one to try. We will be back!
Solid spot for lobster rolls and grilled seafood sandwiches.
Dropped by to get a quick meal on Newbury. Compared to other lobster roll places in the area, everything was reasonably priced. We got the Bostonian lobster roll and the grilled haddock sandwich with a side of onion rings, and the portions were good as well. Without any special sauces or extra condiments, the sandwiches were plain, but they were still good representations of seafood sandwiches in Boston.
We ordered the Bostonian Lobster Roll, Wings, Fries, Clam Chowders and a soda. First we were told they were out of Coke, cool no problem. The ginger ale that I ordered, I had to ask for again when the food was brought. We asked to have the Chowder taken off the bill because it was bland and tasted of raw flour. We never received the fries, and my husband didn't end up finishing the wings because he got to one that was not cooked all the way and didn't receive the sauce he had ordered for them.
The lobster roll, on the other hand, was great. Appropriate for the price, but nothing particularly special about it.
The hole in the wall in the city vibe was fine, but the music and weird music videos on the screen were.... well, a weird choice. They did seem understaffed, so I'll give the guy serving us that, but it's not like the place was slammed. Even just a little bit of care would have gone a long way.
The best lobster in a roll that I've ever tried! The fries and the onion rings delicious. The clam soup was out of this world. The service outstanding.
This place is not that well maintained and has the smell of a fish market. We got the Hot New England Lobster Roll which was great but a little too oily. They definitely gave more lobster compared to the other places but they are also a bit more expensive.
Friendly staff and delicious lobster rolls. My only complaint is that they use way too much plastic. Everything is served in disposable plastic containers. I would love to see them make a change to environmentally friendly products!
Got the Bostonian 4oz. The bun is toasted and well buttered. Lobster and mayo is as expected. Standard Boston fare. For dining in, would recommend outside seating since the indoors had a fishy smell.
